Science equipment, art supplies, and so on, for two (and someday three!) gets expensive, so I am always looking for fun and educational opportunities to use what we have at home. You would be suprised at how much learning can take place with things such as a toothpick (try making a star pattern with toothpicks and water!) or apples (stamping with apples).

A celery heart also makes a good stamp. Just cut off the stalks evenly and dip the heart in paint!

Homemade Slime -This one is really cool. When you hit it fast and hard your hand will bounce off but if you put your finger in slowly it will sink in.
